On July 15th 2019, Chargé d' Affaires ad interim of Chinese Embassy in Lesotho Mr. Song Changqing paid a courtesy call on His Majesty King Lestie III at the Royal Palace.

Mr. Song handed over a congratulatory letter from H.E Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China, to His Majesty on the occasion of the King's 56^th birthday, and extended best wishes to His Majesty and the royal family. Mr. Song also briefed to His Majesty on the newest progress of the China-Lesotho cooperation projects. The King expressed appreciation for the congratulation from President Xi. His Majesty spoke highly of the progress of the bilateral relations and wished greater achievements in China-Lesotho cooperation in the future.
